World Premiere BRICKMAN CITIES powered by LEGO® CITY Exhibition at Entertainment Quarter!

The Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park is honoured to be hosting the world premiere of a brand new exhibition from internationally renowned Lego ® Certified Professional, Ryan McNaught (“The Brickman”). Brickman Cities powered by LEGO® CITY is an interactive exhibition featuring five iconic world cities: Sydney, Dubai, London, Tokyo, and New York; showing each one at three different historical periods of their development. The intricate, cut-away models will reveal details and tell stories of the life and workings of a city during a particular point on its timeline, from 1000AD to the present. Available at each display will be hundreds of thousands of Lego bricks – an invitation to young (and old) imaginative minds to look into the future and build their version of the next stage of that city. The centrepiece of the exhibition is a 3m x 4m 1:600 scale model of Lower Manhattan, New York. It has been built entirely from white LEGO® bricks so that it can act as a blank canvas for 3D projections telling the story of Manhattan – from the villages of First Nation people living on unadulterated land to present day sky-scrapers. It’s an exciting new advance for Brickman Cities:

“To integrate 3D projection technology with bricks like we have is something I never thought was even possible, let alone for it to tell such a cool story. We’ve taken education by stealth to a whole new level, imagine LEGO® bricks telling a story, that’s what we have been able to achieve. People around the world have seen amazing projections on buildings, imagine being able to project and tell stories on a whole city! What we’ve been able to do is mind bending”, says Ryan McNaught.

In another first, Brickman Cities is teaming up with LEGO® CITY to present an entire wall dedicated to the history of LEGO® CITY and showcasing CITY Fire Stations from decades ago. It’s a master-builder zone with over half a million bricks at the disposal of creative minds and dexterous fingers.

Brickman Cities took over 1,500 hours to build, using over 900,000 LEGO® bricks, with the development of the sophisticated 3D projections on Manhattan adding a further 250 hours.
Brickman Cities, is Brickman’s fourth LEGO® brick Exhibition and has been exclusively curated and built by Ryan McNaught and his expert team.

The brand-new Brickman Cities powered by LEGO® CITY will be housed in a purpose-built structure at The Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park. The interactive exhibition will open on Monday 4 January 2019 and run until Sunday 10 February 2019. Tickets are available from 12.00pm AEDT today, Monday 17 December via www.ticketek.com.au
