James “Laid Tour” marks the first Australian appearance from the highly influential English band since 2018, with James returning to perform their iconic album Laid alongside a career-spanning set of greatest hits and deep cuts.

Presented by TEG Live & Destroy All Lines, the event brings one of the most commercially and artistically successful bands of their era to Hordern Pavilion, Entertainment Quarter, Sydney, on Saturday 10 October 2026. Doors open at 6.00pm, with the show starting at 7.00pm.

With more than 30 million albums sold across their storied career, James have established an enduring place in music. Their return to Australia offers fans the chance to experience the songs from Laid alongside material spanning their remarkable career.

James – Laid Tour – an Iconic Career Celebrated Live

Formed in Manchester in 1982, James are key figures in the legendary ‘Madchester’ scene. The band are known for frontman Tim Booth’s enigmatic vocals, introspective lyrics and fearless approach to genre experimentation.

James have achieved massive success with anthems including ‘Sit Down’, ‘Getting Away With It (All Messed Up)’ and ‘Laid’. After celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2023, the band released their 18th album, Yummy, in 2024. The album reached #1 on the UK Albums Chart, marking the first time one of their studio albums achieved the position.

The band’s continuing ability to reinvent themselves has remained a defining part of their career. As described by MOJO, “after 18 LPs and over four interrupted decades at the coalface, James are still re-inventing themselves”.

The band will also release a documentary detailing their whole career, directed by Chris Atkins, known for Who Killed the KLF and James Blunt: One Brit Wonder.

Razorlight Join James in Sydney

Joining James are special guests Razorlight, who return to Australia for their first tour in more than 15 years.

The UK indie icons are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their five-times Platinum self-titled album, a landmark release that cemented their place among the defining acts of the early-2000s indie scene.

Razorlight became one of the UK’s most successful guitar bands of their generation, delivering era-shaping hits including ‘America’, ‘In The Morning’ and ‘Before I Fall To Pieces’. Their achievements include three Top 5 albums, multiple Platinum certifications, an NME Award and performances on some of the world’s biggest stages.
