Introducing Hazard Festival – a chaotic culture swap conjured up by Steel City Dance Discs. The label invites new friends and old for a day-to-night sonic clash at Eora’s Liberty Hall Courts.
The newly announced Hazard Festival is debuting at Sydney’s Liberty Hall Courts next year, and its stacked lineup will instantly take you to the ticket link.
A project of Steel City Dance Discs—a record label first founded in regional Newcastle and which has since exported itself to London—and Sydney-based artist management and touring company Astral People, both agencies have linked up to bring punters “a chaotic culture swap.”
Headlining on the day are Ireland’s Samba Boys (KETTAMA & Tommy Holohan), alongside Rotterdam’s Flansie, Naarm’s Purient, Eora’s very own 3NDLES5 & Crazymike, Shady Nasty and Solo Career, and Mulubinba’s Anika.
Taking you through the Sunday sesh is Ireland-based DJ duo Samba Boys, comprised of KETTAMA and Tommy Holohan. Samba Boys are notoriously known for their high-tempo, fast-BPM sets of dance and electronic music, keeping your body moving far into the depths of the night.
Netherlands-based producer Flansie will be touching down in Australia for a second time to treat Liberty Hall patrons with a mix of raw techno, breakbeats, house and old-school rave. Known for his collaborations and contributions to tracks with artists like Yeat, Trippie Redd and Mall Grab, Flansie is set to dominate Hazard Festival effortlessly.
While organisers have pulled through with some heavy-hitting international acts, the local talent on the lineup is what really takes Hazard Festival over the line. Naarm’s DIY electronic producer and vocalist Purient will be fusing production and vocals on the stages of Hazard Festival, taking you through an effortless blend of dizzying electronic and pop music. Newcastle-based Anika, who has become a bespoke headliner on home soil and in the Netherlands will also be on the lineup alongside an array of trailblazing Sydney acts including bedroom pop artist Solo Career, post-punk and hip hop group Shady Nasty and ambient electronic-hip hop music acts 3NDLES5 and Crazy Mike.
